The Centenary Collection
Wimbledon
Since 1922, every match on Wimbledon's Centre Court has been photographed, amassing one of the richest image libraries in sporting history.

To mark its centenary, we partnered Wimbledon with Glorious, a leading digital art marketplace, to curate an exhibition from this astonishing archive. Assembling a team of historians, archivists, designers, calligraphers and artists, we crafted The Centenary Collection from hundreds of thousands of images, showcasing 100 years through the lens of Centre Court.

Consisting of 10 masterpiece artworks, each showcased an evolution of photographic technology through contact sheet-inspired layouts woven together with annotations in era-specific typography.

The collection launched via an online exhibition, supported by a global campaign. It included a purpose-built platform that enabled tennis fans to enter the ballot to purchase one of just 1,000 limited-edition artworks.

Out of the 40,000 who registered, those lucky enough to be successful were able to purchase their masterpieces via a custom-built fiat system supporting both crypto and centralized currency. All minted on the carbon-negative CENNZnet blockchain. Following a sell-out final, the collection sold out. Resulting in over £500,000 GBP in NFT artwork sold.
